At North Street School we offer a bilingual education which involves instruction in two languages, Te Reo Māori and in English medium. All the Year 7 and 8 classes open their day with karakia and embrace Te Ao Māori in our learning and classroom programmes. All students have the opportunity to audition for the senior Ko whiri tika mai - Regional Kapahaka Competition.
Our Kapa Haha group takes part in Pae Tamariki. Students also have the opportunity to take part in Matariki and the local Feilding Cultural Festivals. We also have established a Pasifika mentoring programme.
