North Street School offers a wide range of sporting opportunities, including touch rugby, hockey, basketball, netball, swimming (with our own pool), cross country, and athletics. We compete in local competitions here in Feilding and Palmerston North.
Physical education is an integral part of classroom instruction, with a variety of sports. We work with outside providers, including The Jets, Netball Manawatu, Volleyball, Football for Girls and Rize Dance Academy with Sio Vaelua.
Each year, selected year 8 students have the opportunity to participate in the AIMS Games—the largest intermediate sports event in New Zealand, attracting over 11,000 competitors annually.
Elite sports students also have the opportunity to compete in interschool events against other full primary schools in our region, as far as Masterton and Foxton.
