Roimata Toroa Team
At North Street School, we offer a bilingual education that involves instruction in two languages, Te Reo Rangatira and English Medium. The focus of the Bilingual Education at North Street School is to enable our children to be able to stand strong in both worlds of Te Ao Māori and Te Ao Tauiwi. Roimata Toroa means the ‘Tears of the Albatross’. It represents the cherishing and nourishing of what we have been entrusted with and being able to overcome challenges along life’s journey.
