Our team name Te Ara Mangopare (Hammerhead Shark) symbolises the unwavering strength and courage of our students as they travel different pathways in pursuit of their learning.

We believe that in an inclusive classroom culture, all students can achieve. For this to happen, it’s important to know our learners really well and build strong relationships with their whanau too. In doing so, we are then best able to challenge their thinking and support them with the ‘tools’ they need on their journey to becoming lifelong learners.

As well as our day to day class programmes and team events, we also provide a number of different learning opportunities for our students to be a part of. They include academic challenges, physical and sport based activities, as well as EOTC (Education Outside The Classroom) visits e.g. Plant to Plate, Science Roadshow, Life Education, visiting Writers Workshops, Duffy Live Show, Camp…..
